Steel structures consist of different types standard steel profiles. The most commonly used profiles are:
- I-profiles (IPE, HEA, HEB) – used for beams and columns due to their high load-bearing capacity.
- U-profiles (UPN) – used in secondary supports and frames.
- Square and rectangular hollow tubes (HSS/SHS/RHS) – often used for columns, trusses and architectural elements.
- L-profiles (LNP – angles) – serve as elements of connections, trusses and reinforcements.
To ensure the durability and resistance of steel profiles, AKZ – anti-corrosion protection is applied, which may include:
- Hot-dip galvanizing
- Sandblasting and application of protective coatings (base + final paint)
